The
Carolina Film Factory Inc. (CFF) was established as a non profit 501(c)3
corporation in 2008 to promote Independent film in North and South Carolina.
There are many organizations that promote film and video, but the majority
of them do so by providing a venue for screening through film festivals
or other wise disseminating the completed project to the public.
Rather
than just sponsor another film festival or some other type of contest,
we at CFF believe that what many new filmmakers really need help with
is getting their projects off the ground and into production. Our goal
then, is to help the filmmaker produce a completed project.
To
accomplish this, our strategic goals as an organization are to;
Solicit,
screen, evaluate, and accept suitable projects that require our assistance.
Assist with raising funds if necessary.
Assist with all facets of pre-production, to include script coverage,
budgets, scheduling, casting, crew, legal advice, and insurance.
Assist in production by providing a source for equipment.
Assist in post-production by providing an editing suite.
In
short, the filmmaker comes to us with their vision, and we help provide
the means to realize that vision.

Director:
Jack
Heape
Jack is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. He attended school in
North Carolina, where he was active in the arts, performing in numerous
theater, dance, and TV productions. Jack received his BS degree in Economics
from Excelsior College, and graduated with honors with a Masters in
Project Management from the University of Arkansas. After graduation
from school, Jack entered the US Navy, where he served in various capacities,
in particularly as Supply Officer on various nuclear submarines stationed
in Charleston, SC. Currently the Executive Director of the Carolina
Film Factory, a 501c(3) corporation, Jack is also the general partner
for Hobo Productions, LLC. Jack has over 20 years of experience in Marketing,
Advertising, and Public Relations.
